Fire

This has been the autumn of fires here, many fires in the country and in the city, and all of them big. May be the anguish led me to make this image.

In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

Robert Louis Stevenson, "Autumn fires".

I saw your comment on my blog..thanks.What a beautiful poem and picture. You must be a genius of a person. All the books you have read and these are only your favorites. The music you like is mostly the music my husband liked a lot as well. But he passed away.
Thanks for visiting.

Genius, yeaaah right :-P
I've not read all I wanted, and now the Gutenberg project helps a lot to read book that I can't find here in english.
Much of my music is the result of a troubled youth I had. However you have Marillion in your list and I should too, although I don't know if I typed it there.
Very sorry to know about a father passing away so young.
And I thank your visit too.

Looks like the atmosphere of a hot gaseous planet.

Yes, that planet is Argentina. Something out of this world and with an atmosphere hot as hell.

I thought exactly the same about it was spooky. Glad that you felt the same. I wish it is not a harbinger.
